Bridgewater Bed & Breakfast

Bobbie Clark and Jeff Simpson have accomplished miracles in the few months they have owned their 1840's Greek Revival home. The 14-foot ceilings, oak floors, brass chandelier and huge pocket doors indicate gracious living at its best. The front parlor, with its vivid rust-colored walls, shows off lace curtains and beautiful ornately carved furniture.

Root beer was once manufactured in the large, stone basement. In the back of the home, original slave quarters became a factory for making hand-rolled cigars after the Civil War. During the war, the home was
used as a Union Hospital.
