• CRAZY FOR CUPCAKES (Main Street in Front of Courthouse) Fundraiser for Cub Scout Pack 318  6:00-8:00 p.m.

 

• MEET THE MINUTEMEN (LHS Gil Rector Stadium)  6:00 p.m.

 

• LHS FOOTBALL PEP RALLY (In front of Lafayette County Courthouse)  7:30 p.m.

 

Enjoy Biscuits and Gravy Breakfast at the 4-Life Center

Please join us at the 4-Life Center at 811 S. Business 13 on Thursday morning August 16th , 2018 from 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.  Biscuits and gravy will be served for a cost of $3.00 per person.  Carryout available.  In fact, you are welcome to join us every Thursday at this time to get your day off to a great start.

 

 

TOBY’s Carnival opens Thursday

The Merry-Go-Round will be spinning and crowds will be milling when Toby’s Carnival of Marceline, Missouri pulls into Lexington, MO for the Community Fair.

 

 The carnival will be one of the anchor events for the fair and will be located on Franklin Ave. and 10th Street in the Downtown area. The carnival will kick off on Thursday night, August 16th.  For $20, carnival goers can enjoy an unlimited number of rides during “Bracelet Time” 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Thursday and Friday Nights.  The carnival will open at 1:00 p.m. Saturday with two “Bracelet times” available 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m..

 

Advance purchase of single armbands will be sold for $15 (A $5 savings!) prior to the official Opening Night of the carnival. Also available for advance purchase for $35  is a MEGA armband which would cover all 4 bracelet sessions for one price. These discount armbands will ONLY be available for purchase at Lexington City Hall (919 Franklin Ave.) from August 8th through August 16th.  These discount armbands must be purchased prior to the Thursday  night opening of the carnival.  City Hall Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m

MEET THE MINUTEMEN

The annual “Meet the Minutemen” will be held on Thursday, August 16th.  This event will start at 6:00 p.m. at Gil Rector Stadium located at the Lexington High School.

 

This event will be the official kickoff for the Lexington 2018 Fall Sports Season.

 

Introductions will be made of all Fall Sport Programs along with their coaches and coaching staff.

 

The Lexington Booster Club will be on hand to sell their Minutemen apparel.  Along with the National Honor Society who will be hosting a bake sale.

 

The Lexington R-V School District is urging area residents to “Please join us in supporting our school athletes for another successful season.”  If you have not had a chance to visit the new track you are in for a real treat.  This project is a fine example of teamwork!!!!!!

 

Following “Meet the Minutemen” please join the LHS 2018 Football Team for a Pep Rally in front of the Lafayette County Courthouse starting at 7:30 p.m.

LHS FOOTBALL PEP RALLY

Come support the Lexington High School Football Team and Coaches as they kick off the LHS Jamboree.  It’s time to get fired up about 2018 LHS Football and of course all of the supporting groups like the cheerleaders and the band.

 

This event will be held in front of the Lafayette County Courthouse on Thursday August 16th, at 7:30 p.m.
